Eat-Scape in San Salvador

For our Eat-Scape assigment we decided to have breakfast and eat one of our traditional dishes: pupusas, because it is one of the most popular, favorite and easy to get in our country. We bought the food in the bus stop, but there was no place to sit and chat, so we went across the street to eat them at plaza del soldado.
The plaza is located in between the Pan Americana highway and is a contemplative public space with a monument and gardens dedicated to the army of El Salvador and especially to the soldiers who fought at war. Plaza del Soldado it's surrounding with the Guadalupe´s Virgin Basilica, Presidential House and Catholic School Emiliani, as well as a hotel and some houses that have become in places for eating for the people who arrives, leave and passes by there thanks to the bus stop.
About the urban infrastructure, the plaza has just a couple of sitting spaces, however there were not eating areas, nor trash cans, therefore we decided to sit on the ground an eat.
Nowadays this Plaza is mostly used as way through, although it is a beautiful place there is no easy or safe way to get there, it dosen't have a pedestrian roads, however near of the Plaza there is a footbridge to go from one side of the street to the other , but is has no connection to the middle part of the highway, where the plaza is located. Through the streets surrounding the Plaza, stands a heavy traffic that creates a lot of noise, which is not comfortable for the visitors of
the Plaza.
