(in)formal spot installation

This day, we tryed to bring our little piece of informal to a formal environment. We chose our site inside the corridors of UCA's campus, a place where students are constantly passing by, always stressed out and running from one class to another, so we decided to give them a spot where they could forget about all that stress and feel comfortable and relaxed while having a snack. We wanted a place full of color and textures you don't normally see inside campus to create some contrast, so we brought in bright collored fabric, snacks, a small bar table and some chairs, put it all together and then left some flyers that said "follow the colors" so they could find us. At first people were surprised to see this installation, but then they started to come inside and enjoy they place while having some chips and soda. We were amazed to see how well people responded to our place, they smiled, made jokes and enjoyed their time there.
For our group this was a great experience, we got to do our own (in)formal place after studying that concept all week and discovered that you don't need big and fancy spaces to relax, you can create a comfortable space inside formality by bringing (in)formality.
